Inspired by the architecture, ornamentation and mythology of the Viking Age, this functional bird box transforms the traditional wooden longhouse into a striking home for garden birds. The steep shingled roof is crowned by an imposing carved dragon head, while the exterior is covered with Norse-inspired knotwork, runic detailing, rope, timber beams and small ornamental touches.

At the centre sits the functional circular entrance with a perch below, surrounded by carved runes and framed by the weathered longhouse-style façade. From the tiny shuttered window to the shields, ropes and decorative carvings, the entire piece has been designed to look like a miniature Norse building hanging amongst the trees.

BUILT FOR THE OUTDOORS

Unlike many of our indoor display pieces, Forgeable Medieval Birdhouses are 3D printed in PETG, a tough and weather-resistant material chosen specifically for outdoor use.

Each birdhouse is printed to order, individually inspected and securely packaged before dispatch. As with all 3D printed products, subtle layer lines and minor variations may be visible. These are a natural characteristic of the manufacturing process and give each Forgeable birdhouse its own individual finish.

For the longest possible lifespan, we recommend positioning the birdhouse in a reasonably sheltered location away from prolonged extreme weather where possible.
